My programs are customized for your unique skill level and physiology – and they’re also rooted in science. I stay up to date on sports science research, which guides all of my assessments and training plans. This also means I’ll adjust my perspective as the evidence around a given intervention evolves.

Wherever you’re starting, I can help. I’m Ryan Brazell, the climber and personal trainer behind Leverage Climbing Studio.
My approach to coaching and training is a synthesis of the most relevant research in exercise science and personal experience.
I’m a dedicated (perhaps obsessive) rock climber of 25 years. I also have a degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado, and I’m a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
I’ll always strive to find the minimal effective dose of training – not make training your whole life.
After all, the goal is to get out there and climb!
Are you ready to take the next step? Here’s what you can expect:
STEP 1: FILL OUT THIS FORM
First, you’ll fill out an athlete questionnaire, so I can learn a little bit more about your climbing and/or training experience, your short- and long-term athletic goals, and your scheduling needs.
STEP 2: WE’LL SCHEDULE AN ASSESSMENT
Next, we’ll set up a free video call, so we can get to know each other, make sure we’re a good fit, and discuss your questionnaire.
STEP 3: YOU’LL START YOUR ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING PROGRAM
I’ll customize a training program based on our initial assessment, which you can access through a personal training app called Everfit. Within the app, you can access and log your workouts, upload videos of your sessions, and send direct messages.
I’ll be able to monitor your progress, adjust the program over time, and analyze your videos to provide coaching around climbing technique, biomechanical efficiency, and overall movement strategy.
STEP 4: YOU’LL RECEIVE ONGOING, REAL-TIME SUPPORT
While the Everfit app will be our center for training, we’ll also schedule regular one-on-one video calls, so you can receive consultation and support in real-time.
